For the reason of economic growth, we have seen both increased production and increased product waste during the last century. I have been wracking my cerebrum for such a long time that I truly need an agony executioner and a rests. In the event that you have decided to pay me a visit today and you are not acquainted with the term 'discard society', let me tell you – we use the term to depict the disposable and over-devouring character of our society. You will agree with me that we are busy manufacturing things today for present moment and disposable use. Essentially, it is frequently less expensive to purchase something new than it is to fix the old.

As of not long ago, I never really thought about it. I had to question my leadership’s relevancy and discovered many things on the journey to make this bold statement to why I am saying that we are currently living in the disposable age. It is not always courageous to say it but as leaders wound fellow leaders, here is my short truth – I was liable of taking part in this expendable society and I am not pleased to state that. For some, remembering myself for event it has come down to money – why go through cash to get something fixed, here and there more than I paid for it at first, when I can supplant it with a brand-new item for less expensive? That alone is not necessary the sole reason of my behaviour and syndicate activity to date. Brief!

"Allow me please to not take your valuable time through a boring and philosophical argument that is fuming through my head now. Tolerate me instead to enlighten your perspectives in interpreting the disposable age in the lenses of leadership. What am I insinuating through this article? You might have heard of the expression “disposable leaders” right. Yeah this piece of work is about those disposable people who were leaders and have accidently lose that position over protecting themselves from what they most desire and most fear: confidence to one another. Again, I do not want to take you through this psychological route, as I want to keep this short and sweet to start a real conversation."

However, do me a favour to remember that a disposable person is an “Unvalued Human Being in the Modern Age”. Ironically, a disposable society identifies people who are irrelevant and good for trash. What throwing the old one out and buy a new one mean in the context of our conversation today? You will agree with me that there is a widespread tendency today to think that if things are not working out, it is best just to find a new leader. The majority agrees to this. It is quick; it is decisive and it is easy. Is this a great fix? No – I doubt that, as the wounds of the experience of the past do not heal over night or through drastic and uncalculated change. If you agree with me, allow me therefore to wrap in the following two last paragraphs.

A true leader accounts for his decisions and postulates, so do I. Speaking truly without any emotional inclination, I have to say that the corporate model of leadership in which the only value is increasing the bottom line is a callous system. If an organization values human development as strongly as turning the profit, it will not haphazardly use, abuse and discard people. No wonder so many voices are airing today to call for a return to civility in this disposable society of ours. The work is too big and the stakes are too high for me as a leader to do not speak to the right wits in order to preserve every possible resource – especially the young emerging leaders that are needed to inspire, empower and to bring restoration and desirable change to our societies.

As a Customer eXperience evangelist, I see things using different lenses. Having said that, several advocates will agree with me as to how the corporate model is structured. There are four primary entities in any corporate model: The C-suite, the employees, the customers and the shareholders. The relationship between these entities defines the rules of the new game in a disposable society. We need a frank and honest chat with great minds so is my call to you readers – let us unite to drill down the baselines of a new leadership style in a disposable world.
